Applicants should demonstrate high
scholastic achievement in their secondary
and post-secondary studies and on national
exams. While your academic credentials
are most important, we also consider your
talents, leadership potential, and determination
to make a difference. Please submit the
following:
- Completed application form.
- Nonrefundable application fee of $50.
- Transcripts –
Original or certified official copies
of transcripts from all secondary
and post-secondary schools must be
sent directly from each institution
to TCU.
- National exam results (if applicable)
- Essay or composition
of 300-500 words.
- Resume detailing
your extracurricular activities, leadership,
honors, community or volunteer activities,
work experience, and travel.
- Two recommendation letters – One from a teacher and one
from a counselor or administrator
from the last school attended.
- SAT or ACT –
For freshman applicants whose native
language is English or who attend
schools where English is the primary
language of instruction and all freshmen
applying for scholarships.
- TOEFL (Test of
English as a Foreign Language) –
For those whose native language is
not English. Students who score at
least 550 (paper-based TOEFL) or 213
(computer-based TOEFL) may enroll
in degree studies on a full-time basis.
You may substitute an IELTS (International English Language Testing
System) band score of 6.5. The TOEFL
may be waived for applicants with
strong SAT or ACT scores or for those
who have completed at least 24 hours
of transferable academic credit (including
English composition) from a U.S. college.
- Applicants from U.S. high
schools or colleges must complete
an International Student Transfer
Verification Form (Click here to download).
- TCU Financial Statement completed by the applicant and the
applicant’s sponsor and accompanied
by a letter from the sponsor’s
bank and employer.
