Athletic Training
The study of athletic training provides you the theoretical knowledge and clinical skills needed to become a certified and licensed athletic trainer.
  • Help the athletes return to the field using your knowledge of the applied and clinical aspects of kinesiology as you become proficient in the prevention and care of athletic injuries.
  • Develop your skills as an athletic training student as you acquire the background necessary to become a professional.
  • Work side-by-side with experienced athletic trainers and sports medicine physicians in the care of athletes.
  • Gain clinical and classroom experienced necessary to sit for state licensure and national certification exams in athletic training

Recent graduates in athletic training have received their certification and licensure and are employed in professional sports, colleges and universities, high schools and clinical settings. Others have accepted graduate assistantships to work on their master's degree at other universities, where they are gaining additional experience and pursuing advanced study in related fields.
