Women's Studies
Students pursuing the Women’s Studies minor or undergraduate certificate explore the many theoretical approaches to gender and its intersection with race, ethnicity, class, and sexuality. Women’s Studies promotes gender equality for both men and women.

Women’s Studies course work promotes critical thought and reflection, sharpens written and oral communication skills, and trains students in sensitivity to multiple perspectives. As our society becomes more diverse, and as women assume greater leadership in society, individuals educated in the critical theories and methods of Women’s Studies have highly marketable skills.
