Nursing
The role of nursing is clear: delivering health care so that people may live full enriched lives. Nurses are the liaisons among doctors, patients and other members of the health care team. Studying nursing at TCU puts you in the center of a dynamic career field at a time when the need for health care is rising and the supply of nurses is dwindling.
  • Get to the point of health care beginning your sophomore year, with clinical experience in nationally recognized medical hospitals, community health agencies, schools and long-term care facilities.
  • Earn automatic clinical placement into the nursing program your freshman year as long as you meet selective criteria.
  • As a senior, select nursing electives that will give you advanced experience in a specialty area of nursing, such as maternity, pediatrics, community health, or psychiatric care.
  • Earn scholarships and allowances of over $75,000 while training to be an Army nurse. The Harris School of Nursing educates the most Army nurses in the nation.
