Music
As a student in the TCU School of Music, you'll excel and grow as an artist in a program that is large enough to provide a wealth of musical opportunities, yet small enough to guarantee a personalized musical education. TCU's NASM-accredited music program prepares students to become future teachers, performers, scholars, conductors and composers
  • Become a musically literate performer who interprets and conveys the works of the masters under the guidance and encouragement of a world-class faculty.
  • Study and learn to appreciate a wide range of musical styles by attending concerts and master classes; deepen your understanding of the classic repertoire; and open your ears to new sounds and experiences.
  • Contribute to Fort Worth culture by performing in large ensemble, chamber, and studio recitals and at theaters, clubs and churches throughout the Metroplex.
  • Travel and play music around the world in places such as New York's Carnegie Hall, Switzerland's Montreux Jazz Festival, Puerto Rico, Italy, Austria, and Indonesia.
  • Study with world-class teachers at the renowned PianoTexas International Academy and Festival, the Mimir Chamber Music Festival and the TCU/Fort Worth Opera Institute.

The Music program includes courses such as:
