As an early childhood education major, you’ll prepare to teach young children (through fourth grade settings). You will focus on appropriate teaching styles for young children while getting significant experience in a diverse range of teaching settings.
- Take field trips again
when you help teach young children at informal environments like the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, the Fort Worth Zoo, River Legacy Living Science Center and the Amon Carter Museum.
- Your education curriculum includes course work and integrated teaching in the field, both grounded in well-developed theory and research.
- Broaden your perspective with teaching experience in Fort Worth’s urban schools, or in international settings like Canada, England or Mexico.
- Choose the bilingual generalist track to prepare you for teaching in bilingual (Spanish) early childhood classrooms.
